As mentioned above, Mt. Nebo is very special place. It is not only important to Christians, but also to practicing Jews and Muslims. In the Jewish, Islamic, and Christian faiths, this is where Moses or Musa (in Arabic), was told and shown by God the wondrous view of the Promise Land. In (find book and verse), Moses was shown the Promise Land for his people. He could only view it but was not allowed to cross over with the people.
