Transformers The Last Knight: Needs to Transform and Roll the Hell Out!

The reigning king of explosive mayhem is back with his ultra suc…cess…ful series Transformers. Bay is in the directors chair for the fifth time in the series since its jump from the toy shelves in 2007. Although the series has received negative reviews from critics, the series has grossed over 1 billion dollars worldwide. If it makes money then it has life in Hollywood. With the release of the Last Knight, it seems to that this is movie is possibly the worst in the franchise.

Synopsis

Humans are at war with the Transformers, and Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving the future lies buried in the secrets of the past and the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Now, it’s up to the unlikely alliance of inventor Cade Yeager, Bumblebee, an English lord and an Oxford professor to save the world.

Best Things

There are a few great things about the movie. The characters are great. Yeager, Whalberg, returns as the inventor. There is a young girl that is kind of the make shift daughter of Whalberg. The Transformers with John Goodman, Bumblebee, Optimus and that is about it. Not much that can be said about this.

Awful Things

The worst things about this about is the overall story and there will be some spoilers, slightly. It seemed very convoluted and choppy. There is the story of Merlin that ties in with the love interest of Yeager. There is a little girl with a vespa-bot that is missing a leg that really has no place in the movie but to be a wise cracker potty mouth to interact with Yeager. Yeager is now an outlaw that is harboring the fugitives (transformers). Optimus Prime performs the Superman Returns bit. He travels through space to find his “destroyed” home planet of Cybertron. There he meets Quintessa who devise a plan to once again to destroy Earth so Cybertron can live.

Recommendations

This movie is an atrocity beyond words. I know they are making money but they are atrocious and need to be chained to a rock and dumped into an ocean. I do not advise anyone to rent, buy, borrow, or stream. It is a waste of time and Marky Mark should be ashamed that he agreed to do these films. Come on! Doing the happening was one thing but these are ridiculous.
Overall: 1 out of 5 stars (1 / 5)
