Central Intelligence – The Most Electrifying Man finally hit a Home Run

On a long hot summer’s day and the nieces are calling me to do something, after many long running commercials, I picked up the nieces and decided to go to the movies. They have the free time and I was off so why not. As a huge fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson from his wrestling days and my nieces being a fan of his movies, decided to his new movie pared with the hilarious funny man, Kevin Hart, which turned into a win/win situation for us.

Synopsis:Bullied as a teen for being overweight, Bob Stone (Dwayne Johnson) shows up to his high school reunion looking fit and muscular. While there, he finds Calvin Joyner (Kevin Hart), a fast-talking accountant who misses his glory days as a popular athlete. Stone is now a lethal CIA agent who needs Calvin’s number skills to help him save the compromised U.S. spy satellite system. Together, the former classmates encounter shootouts, espionage and double-crosses while trying to prevent worldwide chaos.

This movie was really a fun buddy comedy that touches on a lot of issues such as bullying to mid-life crisis. Although the jokes maybe one and predictable, it is really a great movie to see The Rock be his comedic self. The way the movie ended was the only think that I had an issue with but it fit the movie. Something that happened early on hurt the psyche of the hero and he over came another fear; but may the convention was a little odd but the whole movie and character of The Rock was a little odd. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it the movie its entirety. The movie would have received a full 5 starts if it wasn’t for the ending. Other than that, it is a good family movie.
